Advices to Juniors about Shopping Alerts

a) Please be aware of Cheating/Scamming
b) Please shop together with your friends and Don't go Alone
c) Don't stop walking & don't need to care about anything when strangers approach you.
d) Don't show anybody your account number, Don't tell them how much do you have in your account
e) Think thrice before you pay your cash to any strangers

Case 1 : Scratch & Win (刮刮乐)


“刮刮乐”(scratch and win)是利用有奖竞赛活动,向受害人骗取钱财的手法。骗徒一般几个人一起行动,在与受害人攀谈后,他们会拿出“刮刮乐”卡并展示汽车、旅游配套等丰富“奖品”的传单,说服受害人刮卡。

当受害人刮卡“赢奖”后,骗徒就会故作兴奋,接着与受害人搭乘安排好的德士到集团办事处,并在那里要求受害人以现金或首饰当抵押品,方可领奖。有些受害者被要求预付一笔钱以还政府税款或“广告费”,以换取抽中的奖品。此外,对于拒绝领奖的客户,刮刮乐公司还会声称可以高价转售奖品给别的客户。

Case 2 : 慈善骗子

Scammer will ask you to fill in a form and ask for your signature at PC/PCS column. After you signed at the column, they will ask you to support them by buying invaluable handmade craft. Although you realized that you have been scammed, you will still donate due to 'face problem'/frustration/responsible(because you have signed the form).
