Pertandingan Analisis Senario Habitat Sempena Sambutan Hari Habitat Sedunia 2012
Pertandingan Analisis Senario Habitat ialah satu pertandingan di mana para peserta (pelajar) diberikan satu senario atau masalah dan mereka diminta menggunakan pemikiran kritikal untuk mencari jalan penyelesaian. Aktiviti begini adalah lebih berkesan dalam melatih pelajar berfikir secara logik dan membuat pertimbangan rasional semasa berhadapan dengan masalah.

OBJEKTIF

• Meningkatkan kemahiran pelajar mengenalpasti dan menganalisis masalah yang dihadapi;
• Melatih pelajar berfikir secara logik dan membuat pertimbangan rasional dalam menyelesaikan masalah;
• Membina keyakinan diri pelajar dalam menyuarakan pendapat dan idea; dan
• Menggalakkan pelajar membuat penyelidikan dan pembangunan (R&D) dalam mengumpulkan maklumat yang komprehensif bagi pembentangan.

KUMPULAN SASAR
Kumpulan sasar pertandingan adalah terdiri daripada semua Institusi Pengajian Tinggi Awam (IPTA) di seluruh negara.

FORMAT PERTANDINGAN
1, Sebanyak 4 senario telah disediakan oleh Kementerian Perumahan dan Kerajaan Tempatan (KPKT) seperti berikut:-
Pengurusan Sisa Pepejal (1 Senario);
Perubahan Iklim (1 Senario)
Bandar Selamat (1 Senario)
Perumahan Mampu Milik (1 Senario)

2.Setiap kumpulan pelajar diminta untuk memilih dan menganalisis SATU senario sahaja dan merekabentuk penyelesaian yang difikirkan sesuai.

3. Analisis dan penyelesaian yang dipilih perlu dikemukakan di dalam format Powerpoint tidak melebihi 20 slaid atau saiz kapasiti 20MB dan boleh diemelkan terus kepada Urusetia. Persembahan dalam bentuk audio, video dan ciri-ciri interaktif tidak dibenarkan.
4. Boleh menggunakan Bahasa Melayu atau Bahasa Inggeris.

5. Hanya kumpulan yang disenarai pendek akan dihubungi oleh pihak urusetia selepas 24 SEPTEMBER 2012 (ISNIN).

6. Tiga kumpulan terbaik bagi setiap kategori akan disenarai pendek dan kumpulan tersebut akan dipanggil untuk sesi pembentangan di hadapan panel hakim yang dilantik oleh KPKT pada 01 Oktober 2012 di Dewan Kristal, KPKT, Putrajaya. Format pembentangan akhir adalah Powerpoint dan boleh menggunakan bahan persembahan sokongan (contoh : model, poster, grafik, multimedia) dan tempoh masa ditetapkan adalah selama 25 minit

7. Tiga kumpulan yang menyampaikan pembentangan terbaik akan dipilih sebagai pemenang tiga hadiah utama.

8. Hadiah akan disampaikan pada Majlis Perasmian Sambutan Hari Habitat Sedunia 2012 pada 01 Oktober 2012 di Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC), Putrajaya.

Case 1 : Scratch & Win (刮刮乐)


“刮刮乐”（scratch and win）是利用有奖竞赛活动，向受害人骗取钱财的手法。骗徒一般几个人一起行动，在与受害人攀谈后，他们会拿出“刮刮乐”卡并展示汽车、旅游配套等丰富“奖品”的传单，说服受害人刮卡。

当受害人刮卡“赢奖”后，骗徒就会故作兴奋，接着与受害人搭乘安排好的德士到集团办事处，并在那里要求受害人以现金或首饰当抵押品，方可领奖。有些受害者被要求预付一笔钱以还政府税款或“广告费”，以换取抽中的奖品。此外，对于拒绝领奖的客户，刮刮乐公司还会声称可以高价转售奖品给别的客户。

6. Go to Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad to open one New account with ATM card

• Isikan kedua-dua keping Kad Tandatangan Spesimen - Simpanan & Pelaburan (photo below- the small card)
• Isi borang pendaftaran untuk perbankan SMS Bank Islam (not compulsory)
• If you are not applying PTPTN/JPA, Don't need to open account tetapi kalau ada apa-apa pembiayaan, bendahari UKM akan salurkan melalui BIMB
• If you already have a bank islam account, then don't need to open account anymore
• If you are applying PTPTN & JPA, you will need a bank islam Account
• For PTPTN applicants, you can open your SSPN account at bank Islam. For more info, please view  http://www.ptptn.gov.my/web/guest/simpanan/borangsspn (Tips for SSPN form : write your details at butir deposit & butir penerima, write ur dad/mom's details at butir penama)
• Remember to tell them that you just want an Akaun simpanan Wadiah (RM30 deposit) or they will ask u to deposit RM130.

8. Prepare Passport Photos (20 and above)

• Suggestion : It's better to get Formal photo (means tie your hair for girls, wear formal attire, no t shirt/collar T), so that you no need to retake photo
• Informal photo (no tie hair, v t-shirt/Collar T) also can, as long as it is clean & tidy
• bring your photos to ukm, it's better to have softcopy/disc for your photo

9. Have your own Document File which contains SPM Cert, MUET cert, STPM/Matrik cert, Surat Tawaran & etc with pengesahan&signed &chopped.

10. Wait for Your PARCEL ^.^

• you will need to prepare all the documents(with pengesahan) stated in the fail pelajar & arrange accordingly
• bring the 2nd & 3rd payment slip for yuran kemasukan & passport photos
• fill in the info needed at Fail Pelajar
• you will get a pelekat filem X-ray, stick it at sudut atas sebelah kiri X-ray envelope, not at the X-ray film.  (if scared do wrong then bring it to UKM and ask the PC where to lekat during registration)

The Difference between UKM and other IPTAs in Co-curricular activity:
1. UKM : We learn how to organize an event [can clear credit hours] and we also can join the event as participant [cannot clear credit hours]
(Eg : My team and I organized a Badminton Tournament ; My friends and I participated in a Badminton Tournament organized by my kolej friends)
2. Other IPTAs : We participated in activities in class concept [can clear credit hours](Eg: My friends and I attend badminton training every week)

How to Choose which program to join/ Why do you want to join the program :

a) Interest (Eg: I love to sing/I love Music, so I organise a Music Festival with my team members)
b) What you can learn from the program (Hasil Pembelajaran: View Page 1-3)
(Eg: I want to improve my communication and presentation skills especially in English, so I join UKM Career Expo 2012 event as a committee in Marketing Department where I am in charge of getting $ for my event and I will need to convince the multinational companies to sponsor us by contacting them/emailing/phone calling/presentation/etc)
c) Types (Eg: I only concentrate in joining my kolej programs as committee like Program Khidmat Masyarakat di Rumah Seri Kenangan Cheng, UKM Career Expo 2012 dan Pesta Ang Pau IZISH)

Advices for Choosing which program to join :

1. Choose program that you can learn something from it especially soft skills which are useful when you enter the job market
Little info about Criterias that employers looking for : interpersonal skills, Communication skills especially in English, Practical/industrial training experience, good academic results (CGPA 3.0 & above), passion and commitment etc....
2. Don't join more than 2 programs in One Semester unless you can manage your time Very Well. You have at least 2 years = 4 semesters to clear all the 8 credit hours (you can clear 2 credit hours per Sem, don't need to rush)

Details about Lapor Diri and Further Studies (For JPA holders FINAL YEAR)

1. 30 hari SELEPAS tamat pengajian (Tamat pengajian here means WITHIN 30 days AFTER you get you final results slips = SEM 2/ 2011-2012 results slip if you are final year now, or SEM 3/ 2011-2012 if you have extra semester).

2. Can be done online 7 days after you get your final results slip (Pegawai JPA said: The result slip usually comes with a document from Senat of University to prove that your study has completed, which this temporary document can replace transcript that is required for Lapor Diri). Click Modul Pemantauan Pelajar in esila JPA and proceed. If you have transcript by the time you get your last results, then proceed with transcript.

3. If Lapor Diri is not completed in WITHIN 30 days after the final results slip, you will get a WARNING LETTER to complete that in 15 days, after the period, you will be required to pay the "Tuntutan Ganti Rugi" and is announced bankruptcy.

4. If your internship is COUNTED in credits and CGPA and it falls in the last semester of your course, then wait for the last results announced and proceed with Lapor Diri.

(i) If Internship falls in SEM 3 (additional semester after SEM 2 final year), and it is counted in credits and CGPA, goes for the contact in Procedure 5 below, inform that when internship ends and Lapor Diri will be late).

(ii) If internship in SEM 3 is NOT COUNTED in credits/ CGPA, last results should be SEM 2, and Lapor Diri should be done within 30 days after the results announced even though you are in internship now.

*** 5. JPA does not have the most updated info of the final date of your course, as such you ARE REQUIRED to inform them that your course ends at what time, and estimates when you will get your final results slip and when you will Lapor Diri here: amalia.kassim@jpa.gov.my OR 03-88853375/3669 (JPA only have the details that your course ends in Sem 2 of final year, additional Sem 3 in final year/ extention of study should be informed).

6. Documents required for Lapor Diri: Surat Senat UKM as mentioned above OR Transcript (comes together with your final results slip), Bukti Permohonan SPA.

7. *NOTE: TO FURTHER STUDY AND TO EXTEND CONTRACT WITH GOVERNMENT

(a) Documents: Surat rasmi permohonan pelajar (self-written), surat sokongan/ kebenaran penjamin (self written; can combine with surat rasmi permohonan pelajar as one), surat tawaran universiti (surat tawaran master/ PHD etc.), surat tawaran penaja lain (if have - penaja here CANNOT BE from private sectors).

(b) Procedure of LAPOR DIRI must still be done before application of further study, then only the procedure in (a) if you have got offer to further study.

8. If you have any changes on e-mail, MUST inform JPA as it is one of the important tool for communication with JPA. Open e-mail regularly when you have any request/ problem/ procedures with JPA.

9. Change in address should be informed as well.

NOTE: Final results slip here is the LAST exam slip you will receive in your course. SPA = Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam

INTRODUCTION


This innovation competition is a flagship program by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) to foster innovative and creativity culture for the benefit of our Malaysian community. The competition us open to university students in Malaysia - Universities, Universty Colleges, Polytechnics, and community colleges. If find appropriate, the organizer of this competition encouraged the program to be obsorbed into learning activities in a credit worthy co-curricular courses at their respective institutions.

THEME


The theme " Appropriating Innovation for Sustaianable Society " displays the desire and passion that count every innovation made by the students is centered on faith and aspiration to dedicate towards creating a sustainable society.

When is the deadline?

The closing date for this competition is on 22 September 2012. However you must register your team through our online registration website at www.myinovasi2012.com. Online registration will close on August 30, 2012 which aims to provide registration ID for each group that would like to participate. The organizer reserves the right to change this date if necessary.

LEVEL OF COMPETITION :

1. Zone level

At zone level, the participants are to submit innovation proposals. It should consist of:

A total of the best 15 proposals from central zone and 9 from the rest of zones will be awarded a grant of RM50,000 each to execute their proposals.

2. National Level

Participants are to displays their final innovation. The panel of judges will choose 10 best entry. These finalist have to present orally in order to become the winner of MyInnovation 2012 culmination. The national level competition should consist of :

INTRODUCTION
KAED Universal Design Unit (KUDU) IIUM and Department of Standards Malaysia (STANDARDS 
MALAYSIA) is proud to announce the organizing of The Half-Day Product Design Workshop in conjunction with the ongoing Universal Design Product Competition 2012 (UDPC 2012). 


The Universal Design Product Competition 2012 (UDPC 2012) are exclusively for University/College students that aims to expose those students to apply their knowledge on products designs in Malaysia that are applicable for all type of age and disabilities including children. 


This competition seeks for genuine ideas and fresh  creativity that involves the usage of Universal Design products invented, are suitable for domestic use in residential or workplace community The invention should have the expression of products with a refined concept and purpose of the design, the technology and invention method used, types of materials and most importantly the Malaysian Standards (MS) used as guidelines in the product design.

UNIVERSAL DESIGN PRODUCT – DESIGN FOR RESIDENTIAL / WORKPLACE WITH THE APPLICATION OF MALAYSIA STANDARDS (MS).
